What does a typical customer pay you per job?

A quick guide

When ads are worth it, and when to wait.

Worth testing when:

  • You can make a profit on a customer and still pay for the inquiry that brought them in.
  • You have room to take on more work.
  • You answer new inquiries the same business day.
  • Your website and Google listing are up to date.
  • You have one clear service to promote.
  • You can give ads a few months to learn before you judge them.

Wait when:

  • You are already booked out and have no room for more jobs.
  • Your profit per job is thin, so there is nothing left to pay for an inquiry.
  • Your website or Google listing is out of date.
  • You do not know what a customer is worth to you.
  • You need results in the first week to cover bills.
  • Calls and messages already go unanswered.

Not on either list? The check above tells you more.

How I run ads

Track it. Launch it. Report it.

  1. Check what you have

Your Google listing, your website and any ad accounts. If something would waste ad spend, I tell you first.

  2. Set up tracking

Google Analytics, Tag Manager, call and form tracking, and tags on every link, so each lead has a source.

  3. Build and launch

Ads for the area you serve, with one clear offer, on the platform that fits your business.

  4. Report in plain language

A short summary: what you spent, what came in, and what I would change next.

What you see every month

One page that shows what your ads did.

Sample, not a real result

Sample monthly report, fictional illustration only: ad spend 1,200 dollars, 31 calls, 14 form inquiries, cost per inquiry 27 dollars, best campaign Emergency repair search.

  • Every call and form tied to the ad that caused it.
  • Cost per inquiry, not just clicks.
  • One line on what I would change next.
Which one do you need?

Google or Facebook and Instagram?

Google Ads

Best when people already search for what you sell, like “AC repair near me”. They are ready to call.

Facebook and Instagram ads

Best for reaching local customers before they need you, or for promoting an offer, event or new service.

Not sure?

That is what the free call is for. I look at your market and tell you where I would start.

Your accounts, your money

You stay in control.

  • The ad accounts are in your name.
  • Ad spend goes straight from your card to Google or Meta. I never touch it.
  • You can see everything, any time.
  • If I stop working with you, everything stays exactly as it is.

What happens after you book

Four steps. No surprises.

  1. Free call

15 minutes about your business and your numbers. No sales pitch.

  2. I look at your setup

Your Google listing, website and tracking, and what ads would run into.

  3. Flat-fee plan

One clear price for my work. Ad spend is separate and goes straight to Google or Meta.

  4. Launch and report

Tracking first, then ads, then a plain summary every month.

Questions

Before you decide.

How do I know if ads will pay off?

Take what a customer is worth in profit and multiply it by how many inquiries become customers. That is the most you can pay per inquiry. If local inquiries cost less, ads can work.

What does it cost?

I quote a flat fee for my work after the free call, based on what your business needs. Ad spend is separate and goes straight to Google or Meta.

How much should I spend on ads?

It depends on your market, your margins and how many customers you can handle. I go over it on the free call with your real numbers.

Do I pay the ad budget through you?

No. Ad spend is billed directly to your card by Google or Meta.

Can you promise leads?

No honest ad manager can. What I can do is set up tracking correctly, so you see exactly what you get for what you spend.

How long before I see results?

Search ads can send calls soon after launch. Social ads often need a few weeks of testing. I explain what to expect before you spend.

Do you run ads for any kind of business?

I work with local service and trade businesses in Upstate SC. Some categories, like housing and credit, have extra rules on Meta. I check those before launch.

What do I need to get started?

Access to your Google and Meta accounts if you have them, your website address, and the area you serve. If you have no accounts yet, I help you create them in your name.
